5th Multi Ethnic "Mini World Cup" Tournament 2010 Print E-mail

From 4th September to 9th October, 2010
Awakairangi and Harcourt Parks

As the FIFA World Cup in South Africa gets to the final stage, Planning has already started for our own Mini World Cup (5th Multi Ethnic Football Tournament) in September and October 2010.

To build on the success of past tournaments and to look at ways of promoting football, this year we will see the introduction of a women’s competition for 2010. At this stage it will be open to only 4 teams and will run towards the end of the men’s competition.

The 2010 edition kicks off on the 4th September to 9th October, 2010 with preliminaries, quarter and Semi finals at Awakairangi Park, Totara Park Road and both Women and Men Finals at Harcourt Park – Upper Hutt Soccer Club home ground.

Please note there will be a double header on the second week of the tournament, that is, two preliminaries games on the weekend of 11th and 12th of September.

Entries are now being accepted for the 2010 Upper Hutt Mini World Cup tournament closing Friday 6th of August 2010.

The entry fee still remains $100.

We will only consider the first 20 teams that put in and pay for registration even if before the closing date.

Fixtures drawn 7.00pm at Upper Hutt H2O Extreme swimming Pool on Wednesday 11th of August, 2010.

We look forward to receiving your entry(s) as soon as possible. Best wishes and a successful and enjoyable tournament.

All team registration details are available on the Activation website: www.activation.org.nz
